RGNext employees execute and report on theater and strategic offensive and defensive ballistic missile testing and support space situational awareness operations and experiments, using a wide array of highly sophisticated radar, telemetry and optical sensors to meet the needs of our nation in defending the United States and its interests. This overseas position is located on Roi-Namur on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. It is an unaccompanied position (no family accommodation or pets). Benefits of this unique location include free housing, three meals a day and potential for overseas U.S. tax incentives (FEIE). What You Will Do:
- Support compliance relative to the US Army Kwajalein Atoll Range Technical Services (RTS) Engineering Contract, Performance Work Statements (PWS) and contract deliverables for occupational health and industrial safety management requirements including contractual commitments, laws and regulations.
- Provide direct support to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) program operations, to include occupational safety & health training, field and program implementation.
- Conduct EHS training needs assessment. Identify gaps, skills or knowledge areas for training/program improvement. Develop safety program statistical data for Key Performance Indicators.
- Develop training plans/ schedules, coordinate logistics of onsite/CONUS training and subcontract trainers, record/track training/database management, monitor regulatory standards, develop reports and assess program effectiveness.
- Deliver or assist in delivering EHS related training (e.g., new employee safety orientation, fall prevention/working at heights, confined space, respiratory protection, facility safety inspection, job hazard analysis, MEWP, basic crane & rigging, safety leadership training, etc).
- Provide training for the following areas:
- First Aid/CPR/AED
- Electrical safety/LOTO (NFPA 70E)
- OSHA Construction or General Industry
- Develop or assist in development/revision/implementation of EHS related policies, procedures, and best management practices.
- Assist with Job Hazard Analysis, work scope review, environmental programs, accident/incident response/investigation, risk assessment, facility inspection, equipment requisition.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline, or experience in lieu of education.
- Five (5) years of related EHS experience.
- Possess or obtain and maintain instructor certification of the following:
- First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor training
- Electrical safety/LOTO (NFPA 70E) training
- OSHA Construction or General Industry Instructor training
- HAZWOPER instructor, AR-385, knowledge of maritime safety, industrial hygiene principles and application, preferred.
- Working knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, rules and regulations and proficiency in applying them to programs & projects.
- Self-starter with decision-making capability and the ability to work independently.
- Possesses professional principles of conduct and application of leadership/teambuilding skills.
- Experience in report writing, document development and database work.
- Experience in training safety related courses (classroom/OJT).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Ability to wear all required PPE.
- Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs. independently.
- Ability to travel by boat, helicopter, or plane to work at remote sites on outer islands with limited facilities.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Garrison - Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CHMM, OHST, CHST, etc).
- Knowledge of US Army AR 385-10 & OSHA Maritime safety standards
