Are you an experienced Accounts Receivable professional who thrives on solving problems, building strong customer relationships, and driving results? We're seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our client's team in a fully remote capacity. This is a temporary position estimated to last around 6 months at this time. Candidates must be on east coast time to be considered for this role.

In this role, you'll manage a portfolio of high-value commercial accounts, partnering directly with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely payment resolution, exceptional billing support, and a seamless customer experience.

Location & Schedule

  • 100% Remote
  • Must be located in East Coast business hours
  • Temporary assignment estimated to last approximately 6 months
  • Pay: $22/hour


What You'll Do

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will manage a portfolio of commercial customer accounts totaling approximately $3 million in receivables. You'll serve as a trusted partner to customers, providing end-to-end account support while helping drive healthy cash flow and long-term customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include:



  • Managing collections activities for a designated portfolio of commercial customers
  • Building strong relationships with customer Accounts Payable teams to resolve outstanding balances
  • Working directly with customers to identify and address payment concerns at the source
  • Recording, reconciling, and tracking payments through multiple internal and external systems
  • Collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to support customer needs and business growth
  • Creating customized invoices and processing invoice revisions according to customer requirements
  • Analyzing aging reports and payment trends to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Generating reports and providing actionable insights to key stakeholders
  • Resolving complex billing and invoice discrepancies
  • Supporting escalated customer account issues and financial variances
  • Maintaining accurate customer account data, including pricing, tax exemptions, restrictions, and account details
  • Utilizing various business systems including SAP, vendor portals, banking platforms, and other customer-facing tools
  • Supporting special projects and process improvement initiatives as needed

Successful candidates will have:



  • 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable, Collections, or Billing experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience managing customer relationships while driving payment resolution
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend solutions
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Proven reliability, flexibility, and attention to detail


Required Education

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
