The Role

The Director of International Business Development is responsible for driving revenue growth and strategic expansion across global markets, with a focus on the IT procurement business unit, spanning Europe, Asia Pacific, and the newly established End User Computing division within the United States. The role will lead complex, high-value sales initiatives, develop strategic partnerships, and expand Presidio's footprint within enterprise and mid-market clients internationally. This is a senior director-level role with leadership responsibility spanning Business Development, Client Success, Delivery and People across a distributed international team. The position reports to SVP level and carries accountability for the commercial performance and strategic direction of the Global IT Procurement function.

Travel/Location Requirements:

This is a remote position within the Central region and includes 35-50% regional travel to customer sites, Presidio offices, and partner events. Ideally, the selected candidate will reside in Chicago, Minneapolis, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, or Columbus OH spending 1-2 days per week in a local office.

Responsibilities Include:



  • Build and execute territory and account development plans designed to create net-new Splunk and Splunk services pipeline across the Central region
  • Serve as the Splunk sales overlay for Presidio Account Managers, bringing SSP expertise, opportunity strategy, and a services-first perspective to customer engagements
  • Maintain a consistent cadence of engagement with Presidio Account Teams, Cisco, and Splunk partners to identify new opportunities and advance active pursuits
  • Proactively engage Presidio Account Managers to identify whitespace, customer priorities, and accounts where SSP solutions can create measurable business value
  • Identify, qualify, shape, and advance net-new opportunities from initial discovery through proposal, with accountability for opportunities identified, proposed, and progressed through the sales cycle
  • Lead account mapping with Presidio, Cisco, and Splunk stakeholders to identify target accounts, buying centers, key influencers, decision-makers, and potential use cases
  • Drive achievement of assigned gross profit and pipeline goals with a strong emphasis on Professional Services, Subscription Services, and repeatable packaged solutions
  • Create demand for SSP offerings by connecting customer business and technical challenges to clear outcomes, value propositions, and actionable next steps
  • Collaborate with Presidio Account Managers, Sales Leaders, Solutions Architects, and Services Leaders to develop customer strategies and translate requirements into Statements of Work and packaged services proposals
  • Present and articulate SSP capabilities and thought leadership to technical and executive audiences through customer meetings, workshops, partner sessions, and events
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Cisco and Splunk account teams to facilitate introductions, account alignment, deal registration, opportunity strategy, and discounting
  • Maintain disciplined CRM management, including timely opportunity creation, activity tracking, pipeline updates, and accurate forecasting

  • Stay current on Splunk, Cisco, cybersecurity, observability, AI, and data management trends to identify new customer conversations and develop relevant sales plays



  • Share successful sales plays, customer insights, competitive intelligence, and lessons learned to strengthen SSP field enablement and scale repeatable growth across the Central region




Required Skills and Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional and/or military experience
  • 5+ years of successful quota-carrying technology sales or business development experience
  • Minimum 2 years specifically selling IT or cybersecurity services, Splunk, MSP, or related solution/services-based sales
  • Demonstrated success creating net-new pipeline through proactive prospecting, account development, partner engagement, and opportunity qualification
  • Experience selling services-led solutions and positioning business outcomes rather than individual technology features
  • Working knowledge of security, observability, data, and information technology platforms with the ability to connect technical capabilities to business value
  • Strong communication skills across listening, written communication, executive presentation, and virtual collaboration
  • Experience working in a matrixed sales organization and influencing sales outcomes without direct authority
  • Strong CRM discipline; Salesforce experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of AI-enabled productivity and selling tools


Preferred Skills and Professional Experience:



  • Direct experience selling or supporting Splunk solutions and services
  • Splunk sales certifications, or the ability to quickly obtain required certifications
  • Experience developing Statements of Work or collaborating with technical teams on custom Professional Services solutions
  • Established relationships with Cisco, Splunk, or related technology partner sales organizations in the Central region
  • Experience supporting Commercial and/or Public Sector customers
  • Strong work ethic, collaborative mindset, curiosity, and focused execution in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment
