Position Summary: JMT has an immediate opening for a talented structural engineer to join our Marine and Waterfront Structures practice. The engineer will be involved in the design, analysis, inspection, rehabilitation, and construction support of a wide variety of port, waterfront, and marine infrastructure projects including piers, wharves, bulkheads, marine terminals, waterfront facilities, and related structures. The position will involve structural engineering efforts from project planning and preliminary design through final design and construction administration. A sound technical background is required. The qualified candidate should possess a high energy level and be a self-motivated engineer who can work within a strong team environment, serving clients on projects throughout the East Coast. Compensation for this position is $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 commensurate with experience, education and certifications. The provided range is a good faith estimate based on the requirements described within the job description. Working Conditions Work is performed within a general office environment the majority of the time. Field work is required on occasion at active ports, marine terminals, and waterfront facilities where work may be conducted outdoors in varying weather conditions, including exposure to saltwater and marine environments. Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
