Overview This position supports the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) Range Safety Office in Patuxent River, MD, delivering critical range safety planning, hazard analysis, documentation development, and real-time operational test support. The core mission of Range Safety is to apply Operational Risk Management (ORM) principles to mitigate range safety risks, ensuring that residual risk to personnel, property, and critical infrastructure is minimized and formally accepted at the appropriate leadership level. As the Navy's premier East Coast open-air test range, the Atlantic Test Range (ATR) delivers critical test and evaluation services for cutting-edge naval aircraft and weapon systems. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Safety Analysis & Hazard Evaluation
Conduct comprehensive technical analyses, evaluations, and hazard mitigations of project test plans and external documentation in accordance with NAVAIR safety instructions.
