Schedule: 1st Shift Mon-Fri, sometimes Saturdays, Need to be available as early as 6am and as late as 6p

Job Duties

• Grind, finish, polish, and deburr metal components to meet quality standards.
• Use portable grinders, files, buffing wheels, and sanding equipment to prepare finished products.
• Inspect materials and completed work for accuracy and quality.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper specifications are met.
• Follow all manufacturing safety procedures and workplace standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to meet daily production goals.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical training or manufacturing education is beneficial.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of metal grinding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or metalworking environment.
• Experience using hand and power tools such as grinders, saws, calipers, squares, sanders, and buffing wheels.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Basic welding knowledge and metallurgy experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and basic technical documentation.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to monitor equipment for proper operation.
• Ability to perform quality inspections and maintain production standards.
• Commitment to workplace safety, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience is a plus.
• Previous machine operation, manufacturing, production, or industrial experience is preferred.
• Experience performing machine setup, tooling changes, troubleshooting, or preventative maintenance is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, quality systems, or continuous improvement practices is considered an asset.
• Individuals who demonstrate mechanical ability, reliability, teamwork, and a commitment to quality are well positioned for success as a Metal Grinder.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment while maintaining awareness of moving machinery.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to work in flat, vertical, and overhead grinding positions.
• Ability to wear required PPE, including gloves, face shields, and other safety equipment.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
