Position Title: Quality Inspector
Wage: $21.00-$22.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday Join a quality-focused manufacturing team as a Quality Inspector! In this hands-on role, you'll inspect structural and mechanical assemblies, verify products meet engineering specifications, identify defects, and maintain accurate quality documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable reading technical drawings, and confident using inspection tools and computer systems. Quality Inspector Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Obtain and review engineering specifications for assemblies, subassemblies, and detail parts - Verify products and completed work against engineering specifications and requirements - Confirm all operations listed on production work orders have been completed according to engineering requirements - Inspect parts and assemblies for defects, workmanship, and compliance with applicable specifications - Create and disposition Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMRs) within the ERP system - Perform First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9012 requirements - Identify and communicate quality concerns, defects, and potential risks to the appropriate team members - Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation Quality Inspector Requirements: - Knowledge and understanding of Quality Management System (QMS) processes and standards - Ability to collect and analyze data, compile information, and prepare reports - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related computer programs - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to follow technical instructions, procedures, and quality standards accurately - Use a computer keyboard and applicable software effectively - Use a telephone and other electronic communication equipment - Read and interpret documents, drawings, specifications, and computer screens - Communicate verbally with Quality team members, production personnel, and management - Sit for extended periods of time - Occasionally stand or walk for extended periods - Occasionally climb stairs or ladders - Occasionally kneel, crouch, reach, balance, and perform other physical movements required for inspection activities - Lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
