![]() Two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Jewish Theology and Culture The Department of Theology at the University of Notre Dame is offering a two-year postdoctoral fellowship that will begin on July 1, 2027. Candidates may specialize in any domain of Jewish theology and culture. Special consideration will be given to candidates whose research agenda demonstrates historical rigor, and complements existing departmental as well as university strengths. In addition to conducting original research and contributing to the vitality of a dynamic research community, the fellow will take up local residence and assume a set of administrative tasks to promote Jewish Studies programing at the university. Additionally, the fellow will have the opportunity to teach one course per year in an area of specialization and to deliver a lecture. The annual stipend will be $75,000, plus health benefits. Fellows can apply for additional support for travel and research costs. Eligible candidates must have a Ph.D. in hand by July 1, 2027 (not having received the degree earlier than 2022).
