Position Title: Production Worker - Press Operator
Wage: $20.53 per hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:00pm-11:00pm QPS Employment Group has a great Production Worker - Press Operator position available at a company in Quincy, IL. This is a 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire. Production Worker - Press Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operate manufacturing equipment, hoists, and production machinery. - Load and unload materials and finished products. - Monitor machine performance and identify defects. - Make minor adjustments and notify supervisors of issues. - Complete housekeeping and safety inspections. Production Worker - Press Operator Requirements: - High school diploma or GED preferred. - Previous manufacturing, industrial, production, warehouse, or machine operation experience preferred. - Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. - Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude required. - Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. - Reliable attendance and punctuality required. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Ability to work overtime, weekends, and assigned shifts as needed. - Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. - Ability to read blueprints and production documentation. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. - Strong organizational and time management skills. - Ability to identify quality concerns and production issues. - Ability to maintain productivity while meeting safety and quality expectations. - Ability to stand and walk for 8-12 hours per shift. - Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, and repetitive movements. - Ability to grip, push, pull, and manipulate materials throughout the shift. - Ability to consistently lift 50-100 pounds depending on position and department. - Forklift Operators must be able to manually roll and position wheels exceeding 100 pounds. - Ability to work in hot, loud, and physically demanding environments.
