Position Summary

This position operates, monitors, calibrates, and maintains wastewater treatment equipment and control systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Driving Company Performance

Collect samples from influent flow, effluent flow and operation basins to meet permit requirements and assess system performance.
Maintain accurate data records on operational parameters, daily activities, maintenance and collected samples for compliance reporting and operational analysis.
Trouble shoot and repair all equipment in the wastewater treatment plant, including plant drainage system with the cooperation of maintenance department staff.
Handle used oil, universal waste, and recycling for the facilities.
Perform inspections and assign preventive maintenance for the facilities.
Manage chemical inventory in the facilities.
Work with chemical supplier to improve the treatment and use of chemicals.
Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production.
Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information. Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Utilize continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices.
Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.
Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.
Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Experience	Eighteen (18) months experience	Experience in food and beverage industry Five (5) years experience in maintenance role
Education	High School diploma or Equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience
Technical Knowledge	Professional experience with ammonia refrigeration systems Able to inspect equipment and troubleshoot potential issues Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to write legibly to complete paperwork Basic Math skills Follow and comply with all safety standards
Additional Skills/Notes	Able to work in a fast-paced environment Dependability Adherence to safety requirements and wearing required PPE Able to work in a team environment Able to multi-task and be organized Pass all pre-employment screens, including drug, background and criminal checks

This position operates in a fast-paced manufacturing warehouse environment that is exposed to wet conditions. The employee may have some exposure to dust, fumes, and cleaning chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Employees are required to wear required PPE that is in compliance with OSHA regulations, including hearing protection. Employees may experience swings in work-related demands of this position.

While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to stand, walk, kneel, and bend throughout the entire shift.

Employees must occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds, including above shoulder height. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Must have full range of body motion.
