This role strengthens employee competency, supports operational needs, and helps maintain compliance with FAA, EASA, CAA UK, CAAC, and AS9100 requirements.

Work That Matters

At Chromalloy, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. Our teams repair and manufacture critical aerospace components used across the global aviation industry. Whether you're improving processes, supporting operations, solving technical challenges, or driving business performance, your contributions help keep aircraft flying safely around the world.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own and maintain the FAA-approved training program in accordance with 14 CFR *145.163 and AC 145-10, including initial orientation, job-specific technical training, recurrent training, and on-the-job training (OJT).
  • Monitor compliance with 14 CFR Part 145 requirements, including employee familiarity with the Repair Station Manual, Quality Control Manual, and applicable maintenance procedures.
  • Design, implement, and update technical, quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance curricula based on operational needs and changing requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate in-person, on-the-job, vendor, trade seminar, and other external training while aligning training plans with production needs, certification renewals, and turnaround time requirements.
  • Maintain secure, accurate, and retrievable training records in an FAA-acceptable format, including certificates, attendance logs, competency assessments, and required retention documentation.
  • Use digital tools to track training completion, identify gaps, and generate reports for leaders and compliance activities.
  • Assess training needs using employee feedback, competency results, incident reviews, regulatory updates, emerging technologies, and revised safety protocols.
  • Identify and qualify internal and external instructors, ensuring they meet FAA expectations for knowledge of the methods, techniques, and tools used in repair station operations.
  • Conduct competency assessments, evaluate training effectiveness, and provide mentorship and guidance on aviation maintenance techniques, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Partner with department leaders, supervisors, Quality, Engineering, and Production to ensure training supports operational goals and available resources.
  • Conduct and support internal audits of training records, training effectiveness, processes, and compliance readiness.
  • Apply continuous improvement standards and support regulatory, customer, and quality system audits.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in business, quality, manufacturing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of training coordination experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Quality Management Systems, and Learning Management Systems.
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, documentation, and records-management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple departments and manage training resources.
  • Experience developing training content that complies with regulatory requirements.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of 14 CFR Part 145 and AC 145-10 training requirements.
  • Experience in aviation maintenance, compliance management, or quality assurance.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and supporting customer or regulatory audits and problem-solving sessions.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
