Position Summary

We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support a federal agency's application modernization effort in the Washington, DC area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building secure, efficient pipelines and helping modernize mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Build and support CI/CD pipelines.

* Work with GitHub and/or Azure DevOps to improve secure delivery.

* Automate deployments and streamline release processes.

* Support secure development practices across the team.

* Collaborate with developers, security, and operations partners.

* Contribute to application modernization and legacy system transition work.

* Help troubleshoot build, deployment, and integration issues.

* Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery cycles.

Minimum Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer sciences, Information Technology or a related field is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required
• Five plus (5+) years of professional frontend or DevOps development experience, preferably in a federal office setting
• Strong experience with Python 3.x
• Experience with FastAPI, Flask or Django
• Rest API development experience
• Agile/Scrum Experience
• CI/CD & DevSecOps experience preferably in a federal setting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Must have and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

* Federal experience.

* Legacy modernization experience.

* Experience with GitHub and/or Azure DevOps.

* Security+ or cloud certifications preferred.

* Python Institute certification, such as PCEP, PCAP, or PCPP, strongly preferred.

Work Environment & Schedule

* Full-time remote role based in the Washington, DC area

* Periodic travel to client meetings, planning sessions, or program events as needed

* Standard business hours with flexibility based on project requirements
