Plans for the successful completion of their Fellowship training will be developed in consultation between the candidate and the department.

As part of this appointment, the successful candidate will:

  • Provide clinical instruction of students (professional), interns, and residents in surgical oncology, soft tissue surgery, and perioperative medicine utilizing the caseload of the VHC.
  • Contribute to the professional and graduate curriculum by participating in classroom and laboratory instruction. Opportunities for online instruction are possible.

  • Participate in faculty governance activities.
  • Other duties as needed in support of the Oncology and Surgery Sections, Department, College, and/or University.

Distribution of effort will be based on the successful candidate's qualifications, career goals, and the needs of the Surgery and Oncology sections.
