MAILROOM ASSOCIATE

HELP WANTED Immediate Hire

Join the production team at The Gettysburg Times as a part-time mailroom associate. We are currently hiring reliable individuals to assist with the evening production flow: handling bundled newspapers and operating our labeling machine. This position supports our daily distribution and plays an important role in getting the paper into the hands of readers across the community.

What you will do: receive incoming newspaper bundles, organize and stack bundles by route, operate and monitor labeling equipment to ensure labels are correctly applied, inspect bundles for accuracy, and prepare completed bundles for pickup or delivery. The work requires standing for extended periods, lifting bundles (typical weights vary), and performing repetitive tasks with an emphasis on speed and accuracy. You will follow safety guidelines, wear any required protective equipment, and report issues promptly to supervisors. We provide on-the-job training and a supportive team environment.

Hours & Compensation: Shifts available 5-8 pm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and/or 10 pm-1 am Monday through Friday. Pay rate is $13-14/hour based on shift assignment and experience. This role is part-time and ideal for students, second-job seekers, or anyone looking for consistent evening work.

Minimum qualifications: Must speak English and provide all documents proving work eligibility in the U.S. Candidates should be reliable, able to follow written and verbal instructions, and physically capable of performing mailroom duties. Prior exposure to production or machine work is a plus but not required.
