Location: Abilene, TX
Schedule/Shift: Monday through Friday, five 10 hour shifts starting at 6:00 a.m.; weekends as needed
Pay: $21to $25 per hour

Job Summary

The Traveling Data Center Technician I supports cabling installation activities on a large data center construction project. This role requires the ability to terminate copper cabling accurately and support quality installation work. Candidates must be available to travel and work the required project schedule.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform copper cable terminations according to project specifications.
• Support data center cabling installation activities.
• Inspect completed terminations for accuracy and workmanship.
• Follow site safety procedures and direction from field leadership.
• Maintain an organized work area and coordinate with team members to complete assigned tasks.

Job Requirements

• Experience terminating copper cabling.
• Ability to complete copper terminations accurately and consistently.
• Ability to follow installation instructions and project requirements.
• Availability to travel for the project.
• Ability to work five 10 hour shifts per week, with a 6:00 a.m. start and weekends as needed.

Additional Job Details (Commute, Attendance, etc.)

• Contract to hire opportunity with a 640 hour conversion period.
• 15 openings available.
• Daily per diem of $75.
• Shared housing available, with leadership and a team vehicle assigned to each house for coordinated transportation.
• Onsite shuttle buses circulate throughout the project campus beginning at 4:00 a.m.
• Follow designated site access routes and avoid unpaved county roads.
