Provide senior consulting and technology leadership for enterprise-scale DB2-to-Databricks modernization and migration programs. Guide migration strategy, target-state architecture, data architecture, governance, security, performance, and the development of repeatable migration approaches. Serve as a technology advisor on complex architecture decisions and support the scalable modernization of DB2 workloads. Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide senior consulting and technology leadership for enterprise-scale DB2-to-Databricks modernization and migration programs.
- Define migration strategies, target-state architectures, design patterns, and data architecture standards.
- Lead current-state assessments and migration planning.
- Identify architectural gaps, technical dependencies, migration risks, and remediation strategies.
- Define repeatable frameworks for DB2 object assessment, schema and data migration, SQL and script translation, ETL modernization, reconciliation, testing, and cutover.
- Promote an automation-first migration approach using accelerators and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Advise customer leadership on complex DB2-to-Databricks migration and architecture decisions.
- Partner with engineering and architecture teams to address legacy dependencies, SQL compatibility, workload redesign, data quality, performance, and scalability.
- Es tablish architecture governance and technical guardrails aligned with enterprise data strategy.
- Collaborate with internal practice and center-of-excellence teams on reusable assets, automation frameworks, and migration expertise.
- Provide thought leadership and executive-level guidance throughout the transformation.
- Identify opportunities to standardize and scale the migration approach across additional DB2 workloads.
Generic Managerial Skills, If any
- Provide end-to-end program leadership for DB2-to-Databricks migration.
- Establish a migration-factory operating model and wave-based execution approach.
- Coordinate parallel migration workstreams and remove cross-team dependencies and bottlenecks.
- Govern architecture, development, testing, data validation, cutover, and hypercare activities.
- Promote reusable migration patterns, automation, KPI-based execution, and timely decision-making.
- Maintain data quality, production stability, and business continuity throughout migration.
