Position at Parts Town
The Job
at a Glance Parts Town Unlimited is looking for an AI Adoption & Enablement Lead to turn our AI strategy and operating model into practical, sustained adoption across the organization. This role leads the people side of AI adoption-helping leaders, Ambassadors, and team members understand what is changing, why it matters, and how to successfully put AI to work. You'll provide functional leadership, direction, and accountability for a community of AI Ambassadors across the divisions. While the Ambassadors will not report directly to you, you'll set priorities, establish operating rhythms, build capability, create accountability, and make sure the network has the tools and support needed to drive meaningful adoption in their teams. You'll also serve as a trusted partner to division leaders and AI Delivery, helping translate enterprise AI priorities into action, identifying barriers and opportunities, supporting change management for AI initiatives, and ensuring our AI operating model is working the way we intended. This isn't about chasing every shiny new tool. It's about helping people understand where AI can create value, building the systems that make adoption easier, and turning useful AI into a normal part of how great work gets done.
A Typical Day
- Lead, coach, and grow a strong network of part-time AI Ambassadors across PTU.
- Establish clear expectations, assignments, participation expectations, and meeting rhythms for the AI Ambassador network.
- Partner with division leaders and people managers to create alignment, protected time, and support for AI Ambassador responsibilities.
- Translate enterprise AI priorities into practical Ambassador activities, Missions, working sessions, and targeted adoption efforts.
- Equip Ambassadors with playbooks, resources, coaching, learning opportunities, and practical tools they can use with their teams.
- Mobilize Ambassadors to support office hours, demonstrations, workshops, prompt clinics, pilots, coaching, and other adoption activities.
- Identify Ambassadors, teams, or divisions that need additional support, reinforcement, leadership alignment, or coaching.
- Create opportunities for Ambassadors to share successful approaches, lessons learned, reusable resources, and AI-in-action examples.
- Build consistency across the Ambassador community while allowing flexibility for the real needs of different divisions.
- Help identify and develop future AI champions across the organization.
- Build change-readiness and adoption plans for prioritized AI products and capabilities entering the division.
- Partner with the AI initiative leaders to recruit and prepare pilot users, gather structured feedback, and support adoption after launch.
- Partner with leaders to identify adoption opportunities, barriers, readiness needs, and areas requiring additional support
- Track capability growth, usage behaviors, Ambassador participation, employee sentiment, and adoption barriers-and turn insights into action.
What Success Looks Like
- The AI Ambassador community understands what matters most and is actively contributing to AI adoption.
- Ambassadors operate as one connected community rather than isolated individuals.
- Ambassador participation, follow-through, and leadership support are strong.
- Division leaders understand their role in AI adoption and actively reinforce it.
- The AI operating model is visible in how work actually happens across the organization.
- Teams are prepared for AI launches and change activities before solutions arrive.
- Team members continue building practical AI skills, confidence, and responsible-use knowledge.
- Feedback loops are strong and adoption barriers are identified early.
- AI Delivery receives useful, actionable insight from the business.
- High-value AI opportunities consistently surface from across the organization.
- Successful approaches spread across teams and divisions.
- Adoption decisions are informed by meaningful data, feedback, and business outcomes.
- AI solutions move beyond deployment and become part of how work gets done.
To Land This Opportunity

- You know how to turn change into action, with hands-on experience applying frameworks like ADKAR to help people adopt new ways of working.
- You lead without authority, building trust, creating accountability, and moving initiatives forward through influence rather than reporting lines.
- You are comfortable in the world of AI, with practical experience using generative AI tools, crafting prompts, leveraging workflow applications, and applying responsible AI practices.
- You can meet people where they are, coaching beginners with confidence while helping leaders connect AI and changing efforts to measurable business outcomes.

- You use data and insights to guide decisions, identifying barriers, measuring adoption, and continuously improving the employee experience.
- You simplify the complex, turning technical concepts into clear, relevant, and actionable guidance without relying on buzzwords.
- You collaborate naturally, balancing enterprise priorities with the unique needs of individual business areas.
- You focus on outcomes over hype, helping teams solve real business challenges rather than promoting AI for its own sake.
- You'll stand out even more if you have experience with ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, custom GPTs, AI agents, automation platforms, or similar emerging technologies.
- You earn bonus points for creating learning programs, adoption resources, communications, playbooks, or change interventions that drive measurable results.
