This highly visible role leads site Quality Managers and drives consistent quality strategy, regulatory compliance, product integrity, customer performance, and continuous improvement across the segment.

The successful candidate will partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Commercial, and corporate Quality leaders to reduce risk, strengthen operating discipline, and support safe, compliant business growth. This leader will translate strategy into action, develop strong teams, and communicate effectively from the shop floor to the executive level.

Work That Matters

At Chromalloy, your work directly supports aviation safety and reliability. Our teams repair and manufacture critical aerospace components used across the global aviation industry. As a people leader, you'll help ensure our repair locations deliver compliant, reliable products and services that keep aircraft flying safely around the world.

Location: United States, based at a Chromalloy site

Travel: Regular domestic and international travel to ECRS repair locations, customers, and regulatory activities

What You'll Be Doing

  • Own and deploy the ECRS segment quality strategy, priorities, operating rhythm, and improvement roadmap across repair locations.
  • Lead, coach, and hold accountable site Quality Managers while strengthening succession, capability, and organizational depth.
  • Serve as the senior Quality partner to segment leadership and communicate performance, risks, resource needs, and recovery plans to executive leaders.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 and applicable FAA, EASA, CAAC, UK CAA, certification, customer, and internal requirements.
  • Drive audit readiness, corrective action, effectiveness reviews, and prevention of repeat findings across the segment.
  • Use quality metrics and risk signals to improve performance, reduce quality escapes, and strengthen product and customer outcomes.
  • Lead responses to significant customer concerns, product escapes, investigations, containment, risk evaluation, and recovery plans.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to improve first-pass yield, process capability, documentation discipline, and defect prevention without compromising compliance.
  • Drive consistent quality governance, data standards, management reviews, and electronic quality management workflows across ECRS locations.
  • Build trusted relationships with customers, regulators, and certification bodies through clear communication and disciplined follow-through.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, Business, or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 12 years of progressive aerospace quality, maintenance/repair/overhaul, repair-station, manufacturing, engineering, or operational leadership experience.
  • At least 7 years of people-leadership experience, including leadership of site Quality Managers or a comparable multi-site quality organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with FAA Part 145 repair-station operations and applicable aviation regulatory requirements.
  • Proven success leading quality performance, regulatory compliance, customer recovery, audits, investigations, and corrective-action programs across multiple facilities.
  • Strong executive communication, judgment under pressure, and willingness to escalate or stop work when compliance, airworthiness, or product integrity may be at risk.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree.
  • ASQ quality certification, Lead Auditor certification, or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
  • FAA Repairman Certificate experience or prior accountable quality leadership within a repair station.
  • Experience leading international aerospace repair locations and working directly with aviation authorities and major aerospace customers.
  • Experience deploying an enterprise electronic quality management system, including ComplianceQuest or a comparable platform.

Leadership Expectations and Values

  • Model the Way - Leads with integrity and accountability, holding themselves to the same standards expected of others and consistently following through on commitments.
  • Inspire a Shared Vision - Connects team efforts to a clear, meaningful purpose while balancing strategic priorities with disciplined day-to-day execution.
  • Challenge the Process - Brings curiosity and a drive for continuous improvement, questioning assumptions and championing innovation even in complex environments.
  • Enable Others to Act - Builds strong, inclusive partnerships that share ownership, develop others, and value diverse perspectives.
  • Encourage the Heart - Recognizes contributions genuinely and celebrates shared values to build a culture of appreciation, respect, and accountability.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
