Overview LMI is seeking an Instructional Designer at the Level III level to develop accessible, effective learning experiences supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Agile practices and Atlassian Cloud adoption. This role combines learning strategy, curriculum design, digital content development, and performance support to translate complex processes and tools into practical instruction for a diverse federal workforce. The Instructional Designer will design role-based learning paths for leadership, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, delivery teams, and tool administrators. The position develops live-instruction materials, self-paced e-learning, hands-on exercises, job aids, assessments, and adoption-hub resources using ADDIE or SAM and tools such as Articulate Storyline and Rise. Content will be prepared for the existing learning management system and validated against accessibility requirements. This is not a slide-production-only role. The designer must identify the performance problem behind a training request, define measurable learning objectives, test content with representative learners, and refine materials based on completion data and user feedback. The ideal candidate balances technical accuracy with adult-learning principles, concise writing, visual clarity, and Section 508 compliance.
