Greer Stop Nut has an immediate opening for an Industrial Maintenance Technician to assist with maintaining equipment and facilities for our 90,000 square foot manufacturing plant. This moderately entry-level role can grow into higher levels in the Industrial Maintenance field, and is a great way to get established as a professional Maintenance Technician.

This is a full time day shift position with the opportunity for some overtime. All tools are provided by the Company. No Personal Tools are needed.

Our plant is located just off of Nolensville Pike near the Nashville Zoo.

In this role, the Industrial Maintenance Technician will provide mostly preventive maintenance and minor repair work to a variety of manufacturing equipment, such as presses, CNC and manual machining equipment, large air compressors, and other devices used in the plant.

Candidates should have some prior experience servicing and repairing either manufacturing machines or time in an automotive service/repair setting, preferably with a prior background in lubricating equipment/changing fluids and have a solid level of other general maintenance skills.

Primary Functions:

• Change fluids and lubricate equipment.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance tasks on various types of equipment including CNC lathes, Screw Machines, Tapping equipment, industrial presses, hydraulic lines, and various pumps.
• Remove scrap/waste material from machining area as needed.
• Read and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises, and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.
• Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
• Performs regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Reporting and Feedback: Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management, promoting a culture of open communication and continuous improvement.
• Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM): Assist in the development of PPM schedules, carry out PPM activities as necessary, and provide feedback to enhance the effectiveness of the maintenance system.
• Machine Handling and Installation: Support the moving, installation, and repositioning of machines and equipment as required.
• Organize supplies and parts and identify obsolete or excess inventory.
• Practice good housekeeping in the shop at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Maintains company tools and equipment to ensure availability and serviceability.

Experience & Education:

• Minimum of 1 prior year of related maintenance experience on industrial machinery, or other similar equipment.
• High School diploma or GED is expected.
