Mercy Kids Transport RN: Nights

As a Pediatric Transport RN, you'll use your clinical expertise, critical thinking, and calm under pressure to:

• Assess and stabilize pediatric patients for transport
• Provide continuous nursing care during helicopter transfers
• Perform necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions
• Interpret monitoring, laboratory, and diagnostic information
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and the multidisciplinary team
• Provide safe, effective patient handoffs using tools such as SBAR
• Coordinate care across departments and facilities
• Involve patients and families in care decisions and education
• Advocate for patient safety, privacy, and dignity throughout the transport process

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program
• Current RN license in the hiring state and/or applicable compact license
• BLS certification or completion within 30 days of hire
• Ability to meet the physical demands of a transport environment, including lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds

Depending on departmental requirements, additional certifications may include PALS, ACLS/ALS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., or other unit-specific credentials.
