Job Description DOE Incident Tech Role Summary Provide advanced Desktop Operations technical support by resolving incidents and service requests escalated from Level 1, troubleshooting complex desktop, application, device, operating system, driver, firmware, and software issues, while coordinating with other support and engineering teams to restore service efficiently and minimize user disruption. Responsibilities Resolve escalated desktop incidents and service requests. Troubleshoot software, applications, devices, and operating system issues. Coordinate with support and engineering teams to resolve complex issues. Manage and document incidents in the ticket-tracking system. Identify recurring issues, trends, and root causes, escalating where required. Maintain support documentation and adherence to firm procedures. Skills and Competencies Strong technical troubleshooting skills across desktop applications, devices, and operating systems. Analytical and problem-solving mindset, particularly for complex escalations and root-cause analysis. Clear communication and strong customer-service skills in a client-facing environment. Ability to work under pressure and manage issues within tight timelines. Collaborative approach, working effectively with local and global support and engineering teams. Ownership and proactive escalation, identifying trends, significant issues, and potential delays.
