Position Summary |
The College of Business and Health Administration is a team of exceptional, experienced professionals dedicated to providing a rigorous academic curriculum in a supportive compassionate learning environment. Faculty include both full-time and adjunct faculty who are professionals with expertise in the courses they teach. Today we are specifically looking for instructors willing to teach in person undergraduate courses in a variety of disciplines including accounting, finance, marketing, and management at our Joliet, IL location. |
Essential Duties & Responsibilities |
* Uphold and fulfill the mission and philosophy of the College of Business and Health Administration (
COBHA)
* Participate in and promote a culture of continuing quality improvement
* Teach in person and blended courses on-site on our Joliet, IL campus
* Participate in ongoing professional development activities and
USF adjunct faculty training
* Teach all assigned courses and hours as determined by the course schedule
* Plan course instruction based upon approved curriculum, syllabus and learning outcomes
* Design, administer and grade course assignments, essays and exams to assess student achievement as well as overall achievement of course learning outcomes |
Minimum Requirements |
* Master's degree in field
* Evidence of strength in instructional methodology, delivery, and techniques
* A willingness to support the Catholic and Franciscan values of the University
* Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
* Ability and willingness to deliver on-site courses at our Joliet, IL campus according to the required schedule
* Demonstrated experience working with individuals, ideally students, from other cultures and different backgrounds |
Preferred Requirements |
* Ph.D./
DBA/JD or other terminal doctoral degree in a variety of areas including management, marketing, business administration, finance, supply chain/logistics, international business, etc.
* Two (2) years' teaching experience
* Previous face-to-face teaching experience
* Experience with Canvas Learning Management System |
Hours/Shift/Work Schedule |
Class schedules vary but generally fall to a Monday/Wednesday/Friday, Tuesday/Thursday or one evening/week schedule. There may be an option to teach a "blended" format. |
Physical Requirements of Position |
Work is performed in an office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working on a computer. This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: sitting, walking, bending, stooping, finger dexterity, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. |
