Responsibilities

The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Data Quality Coordinator in Corpus Christi, TX. In this position, you will support the Mid/Metro-Market Development team. This position will work alongside five other Mid-Market support staff members and will be responsible for completing and overseeing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes, actively maintaining, and promoting a high standard of accuracy in all fiscal and event data systems through regular quality checks and trainings and partnering with fellow Customer Strategies team members and affiliate leadership to produce accurate, useful reports. This position serves a critical role in achieving the American Heart Association's annual fundraising goals.

The Development team you will be supporting is responsible for fundraising and implementing a local Heart Walk, Go Red for Women luncheon, Heart Ball, and other educational events in multiple communities throughout New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas. Position interfaces with both staff and external donors, sponsors, and vendors regularly, so a customer-service mindset is a must.

Here are the core responsibilities of the Sr. Data Quality Coordinator role: * *



  • Process donor contracts, checks, cash, and credit card payments in alignment with required timetables and A/R policies.

  • Oversee team's processing of vendor invoices and contracts, maintaining knowledge of all Accounts Payable policies and procedures, training team where needed, and ensuring vendor payments are being processed quickly and accurately.

  • Perform measurable quality-checks on fiscal and event data at regular intervals with status updates to manager. Correct errors and actively implement measures to prevent future inaccuracies.

  • Oversee collection of unpaid sponsor and donor pledges by monitoring payment status, coordinating donor outreach with team, and communicating regularly with local Development staff and sponsors.

  • Proactively develop documentation and present trainings to improve Development's adherence to A/R and A/P policies, communication with donors, and timely processing of all revenue and expenses.

  • This role will also manage on-site for the Corpus Christi market. To include but not limited to customer donor records, provide direct field support - such as customer service, training, and troubleshooting issues and logistics for local events .

  • Serve as department expert for our fiscal analytics tool Halo.

  • Travel may be required for 1- to 2-day periods to locations around the SouthWest Region, particularly in the months of February-May and September-November, to assist with fundraising events, including but not limited to guest registration, silent auction logistics, guest transactions (donations, purchases), and volunteer coordination.

  • Overtime may be required during busy times of year or to complete critical projects on deadline. Travel is discussed in advance; travel expenses are paid.

Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Experience monitoring data quality and improving business procedures.

  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Attention to detail in all tasks, including but not limited to completeness and accuracy of data entry, correct spelling and grammar in all communications, and ability to follow detailed directions.


Preferred skills:



  • 1-3 years of experience managing multiple projects, large amounts of data, and consistently providing exceptional customer service while meeting tight deadlines.

  • 2 years of experience with accounting, bookkeeping, or finance.

  • Advanced skills in Excel.

  • Experience with data analytics, data visualization tools, and nonprofit CRM software.
