Distribution Supply Chain Solutions Analyst

Job Summary:

Responsible for translating the client's business requirements into high value services solutions by applying supply chain practice offerings knowledge and expertise. Designs and formulates the client services solutions using the existing portfolio of practice offerings, developing new solutions and/or integrating third party products or supply chain financing practices.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Consults with clients to assess current problem states, define desired future states, define solution architecture and make solutions recommendations.
  • During the pre-sales phases, evaluates client business, process, systems and technology requirements, and advises clients on best practices to help guide and solidify proposed designs.
  • Creates physical and logical architecture solution roadmaps for linking services solutions with client business processes and technologies.
  • Develops supply chain financing solution sets if not available in current practice offerings.
  • Delivers a high value services solution to the client on time, within budget, and meeting all business and financial objectives.
  • May be involved in the implementation and delivery of services solutions to the client.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Level Specifications:

  • Thorough knowledge of supply chain principles, theories and concepts.
  • Competent in all job functions and has general understanding of the industry practices, techniques and standards.
  • Develops solutions for a variety of situations and works on projects requiring evaluation and analysis.
  • May refer to policies, practices and precedents for guidance; determines best course of action to achieve results.
  • Work is performed independently and requires the exercise of judgment and discretion.
  • May receive some limited guidance for new assignments.
  • Work may be reviewed for overall adequacy.
  • Collaborates with management and team members within the department/function and other areas of the organization.
  • May represent department internally or externally.
  • Actions may impact the success of the overall department and/or the organization.
  • Failure to accomplish work or erroneous decisions may result in delays to projects, loss of revenue or allocation of additional resources to remedy.

Work Experience:

  • Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.

Education and Certification(s):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
