About this Position:

The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing key operational areas within the Parts Distribution Center on various shifts. These areas include inbound and outbound operations and inventory management. This position is also responsible for leading a team of supervisors and associates on a daily basis to run the operation successfully to satisfy customers' needs.

Responsibilities include:



  • Operations Planning
  • Staffing and Development
  • Operational Efficiency and Productivity
  • Material Handling and Facility Maintenance
  • Train, Develop and Lead Supervisors and Associates



Qualifications

Who we are seeking:



  • We are looking for qualified people and diverse background and experiences, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic, to bring the future to Honda as Warehouse Assistant Manager


Required Work Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent work-related experience preferred
  • One to three years in distribution, warehousing and/or logistics
  • One to three years of leadership/supervisory experience
  • Proficiency in all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to analyze plan effectiveness against stated objectives and produce counter measures when tactics are not achieving desired results.
  • Must be able to work the 2nd shift, starting at 3PM/4PM until 11:30PM/12:30AM


Required Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business or equivalent work-related experience preferred

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent customer service
