The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.

$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for LCSW/LPC (Prorated Based On Weekly Schedule)


The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a
Behavioral Health Clinician for the Veterans Recovery and Rehousing Services (VRRS) program that offers veterans experiencing homelessness transitional housing and recovery support for up to 24 months. This position will use a variety of evidence-based best practices including Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and Mindfulness exercises, in a Trauma-Informed care environment to help veterans interested in recovery from homelessness, economic challenges, drug and alcohol addiction, and/or mental health issues to achieve permanent housing upon graduation from the program. The services this position will provide include individual and group counseling, screening assessment and intake, collaborative treatment planning, comprehensive case management, daily living skills assessment; and support in areas such as budgeting, employment readiness, meal planning and preparation, etc. and housing search support and community reintegration assistance. This position is located at 1732 N High Street and reports to the Program Manager.

LSW/LPCC - $29.77 - $34.23 | Hourly

LCSW/LPC - $61,920 - $71,208 | Salary - Fully Licensed candidates are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus (prorated based on weekly schedule)

Qualified candidates are eligible for the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Loan Repayment Program. Licensed health care providers may earn funds toward student loans in exchange for a two-year commitment at an NHSC-approved site through this program.

NOTE: In order to ensure that our consumers receive the best possible care the candidate chosen to fill this position will be required to complete our internal credentialing and privileging process prior to a start date. The credentialing and privileging timeline is dependent on the selected candidate's submission of documents necessary for clearance. Please note that a start date will be scheduled once credentialing and privileging is complete.

Essential Job Functions



  1. Provides excellent internal and external customer service, engendering an atmosphere of teamwork with immediate colleagues, partners, and clients.
  2. Provides ongoing, comprehensive clinical case management services to homeless persons with psychiatric diagnoses, including severe and persistent mental illness, and who may have a co-occurring substance related disorder. This includes trauma-informed case management support, screening, intake, individual service planning, documentation of progress, service tracking and outcome evaluation and group support for interested participants in a timely, organized, and accurate manner
  3. Conducts psychosocial assessments and intake screening with appropriate diagnoses as deemed appropriate by the team.
  4. Facilitates therapeutic meetings with clients in individual and group settings.
  5. Works collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, understanding that their role may change dependent on the client's team affiliation and care plan.
  6. Assists clients in identifying and accessing goods and services for both immediate and long-term needs, including identification, income maintenance benefits, psychiatric medication, etc.
  7. Communicates clinical assessments, interventions, and ongoing client contact though timely, thorough electronic record keeping, contact forms, and verbal communication.
  8. Maintains accurate electronic health record and participates in audits and projects to help improve and maintain accurate records that meet standard of care.
  9. Facilitates client connections with other departments and service agencies, providing transportation and support as appropriate.
  10. Works cooperatively to serve clients in a comprehensive, effective, and caring way.
  11. Assists others with work that needs to be done in moments of urgency or crisis.
  12. Serves as a liaison with collaborating agencies and other teams within the organization, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with organizations and groups providing services to our target population. This job function requires availability by cell phone during regular business hours.
  13. Navigates the Social Security, benefits, Medicaid, and Medicare systems in concert with and on behalf of clients.
  14. Completes Medicaid authorizations and client database entries as well as any other reporting requirements necessary to obtain and sustain funding and provide services to individuals served in the program.
  15. Monitors and maintains productivity required for position.
  16. Meets formally with Clinical Program Manager and Program Manager regularly for ongoing supervision.
  17. Accesses goods/services according to client need. This will include but is not limited to, housing, vocational services, budgeting, personal identification information, benefits acquisition, health insurance, food, treatment, etc.
  18. Attends and participates in clinical and administrative meetings as deemed appropriate and necessary for the job.
  19. Assist residents in problem solving issues which may threaten their housing.
  20. Serves as a liaison between client and property management staff and/or client and other services staff when necessary to advocate for client's housing stability and health.
  21. Covers for other Behavioral Health Clinicians or Case Managers as necessary at the same or other CCH locations.
  22. Works cooperatively/proactively with associated property manager and VA Liaisons to support housing tenure.
  23. Provides weekday services to program participants and will include, on a limited basis, evenings, weekends and on-call as needed.
  24. Participates as required in outcome evaluation of program and VA billing as needed.
  25. Participates in bi-weekly individual supervision with the Veterans Recovery and Rehousing Services Program Manager.
  26. Record all clinical services in a timely and complete fashion in the EHR.
  27. Maintain up to date records in EHR.
  28. Record telephone and other clinical communications as needed in the EHR.
  29. Manage tasks, PAQ and scanning as needed to have a complete and current chart.
  30. Maintain accurate information regarding client's insurance status and complete CCARs/DACODs and other clinical authorization documentation as needed.
  31. Utilize the EHR and any future upgrades as directed.
  32. Provides welfare and safety checks as needed.
  33. Provides transportation for residents as needed and appropriate.
  34. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Summary



  1. Master's degree in social work, counseling, or similar field; licensed LCSW or LPC strongly preferred. If unlicensed, must be registered as LSW or LPCC, and be actively working towards completion of licensure requirements to be licensed within three months of eligibility.
  2. Experience and interest working with disenfranchised persons.
