Surgical Pathologist

The Department of Pathology of Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an AP/CP Board-Certified Surgical Pathologist, with fellowship training in breast pathology, to join a group of 37 practicing pathologists and 5 Ph.D technical directors, in a state-of-the art anatomic pathology practice in Central Texas. The position is based in Temple, TX. Additional areas of surgical pathology training would be a plus. Current fellows are encouraged to apply.

Currently the department of pathology processes approximately 80,000 surgical specimens and 3500 breast surgical cases annually. There is a vast spectrum of cases with a wide range of complexity. The practice is a hybrid of general and subspecialty based sign-out. Current expertise (subspecialty training or interest) within the group includes cytopathology, clinical informatics, breast pathology, dermatopathology, GI pathology, GYN pathology, hematopathology, lung pathology, molecular pathology, neuropathology, pediatric pathology, renal pathology and soft tissue pathology, A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with experience is available at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston.

QUALIFICATIONS

Doctorate degree in Medicine MD or DO

Texas Licensed by start date

BC Anatomic/Clinical Pathology

Fellowship trained breast pathology (current fellows encouraged to apply)
