About this Position:

The Sales & Digital Strategist will lead the market analysis, development, and implementation of sales & digital usership strategies with the focus on achieving market penetration and revenue objectives of various Next Business & Design products (physical product, digital product, or service).

Leveraging knowledge of user values, business cases, and the market landscape, the Sales & Digital Strategist will define innovative go-to-market strategies that optimize usership for products targeting the next-generation of users. This position will work closely with Product Owners, Product Planners, and business counterparts to assess business viability, provide in-depth market analysis, and determine pricing and launch strategy as well as KPIs. Additionally, they will ensure those strategies align with portfolio strategy and the overall goal of expanding access to the Honda brand beyond owning & leasing.

Responsibilities include:



  • Lead the market and competitive analysis around new business concepts, to determine usership/sales requirements and strategic direction for NBD products
  • Manage the sales and usership strategy of products by collaborating with Product Owners and Product Planners to apply business case, market, and competitive analysis to develop and implement business plan for NBD products
  • Consult with Product Owners and Product Planners as needed to develop business solutions that progress the development of NBD products toward launch
  • Support business case development across new business ideas to assess overall viability (e.g., Finance, Insurance, etc.) and utilize business case toward usership strategy development
  • Support NBD Strategy development, especially around Brand and Business, and drive consensus toward strategy within Honda
  • Actively participate in other NBD projects as required


Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:



  • 4+ years' experience in business development or related position and agile experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. Experience or knowledge of business case development strongly desired. Automotive industry experience preferred


Required Education:



  • BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, strategic planning, or related discipline. Absence of a degree, 10+ years of relevant work experience is also acceptable. MBA in related discipline a plus


Desired skills:



  • Automotive industry knowledge is required, especially related to the business of automotive development and sales
  • Content-specific experience in a relevant area is required (e.g., product planning or sales planning for automotive industry)
  • Analytical and critical thinker who can make strategic decisions in situations where data is sometimes limited
  • Passionate and innovative, willing to look beyond traditional sales methodologies and create new norms
  • Familiarity with market research tools such as mTAB
  • MS Office proficiency is required, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with digital collaboration and project management tools (e.g., Miro, Mural, etc.) is a plus
  • If internal applicant, a consistent history of high/positive performance reviews is required

Total Rewards:



  • Competitive Base Salary: $77,800 to $116,700


Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
