Workstyle: Hybrid / Remote - 3 days in office

About this Position:

The purpose of the IT Supervisor - Honda Data Center (HDC) is to ensure the streamlined operations of the HDC site IT operations team in alignment with business objectives of the IT Services Operations Department and the AHM IT Business Unit. This individual will plan, coordinate, and direct the activities of the HDC site IT operations team, as well as provide administrative direction and support HDC IT operations and project activities in support of Sales, Captive Finance, Manufacturing, and Design Center Business Units

In this role you will be responsible to work closely with IT Business Units and Corporate Facilities Business Unit decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective data center solutions and/or services for all aspects of the organization. This role will also define and implement policies, procedures, and best practices as it relates to the data center operations and facilities services and system supported by the Data Center Operations and Facility Services Team.

Responsibilities include:



  • Work together with Team Manager and Unit Manager to provide input for the direction and vision of Data Center and Facility Services. Contribute ideas and formulate the details on execution of Data Center and Facilities Team Strategy.
  • Build NA relationships and network to achieve trust and credibility, by discovering and meeting the needs of internal and external customers. User persuasion and influence to achieve maximum results with North America IT goals.
  • Build and maintain a high performing IT team by fostering Team development and long-term capability by teaching, coaching, and mentoring, integrated with consistent and effective individual performance Management. Ensure the Team is motivated, engaged and inspired to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Achieve the project goals for the Data Center and Facilities Services Team as approved annually, including schedule, budget, and quality commitments
  • Consolidation and Alignment of Data Center and Facility services with the North America region.
  • Manage technical team to ensure timely and accurate completion of technology maintenance and project-based tasks. Identify and commit appropriate resources for infrastructure change request needs and projects (technicians, vendors, etc.)



Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:



  • 8 -10 years' work experience with general IT Data Center Support
  • 8 - 10 years' work experience providing IT Infrastructure and Hardware
  • 5 - 7 years managing onsite supplier resources and teams
  • 3 - 5 years work experience practicing SOX compliance, Electrical safety standards, building standards and local building codes.
  • Desired Certification in ITIL, COBIT. Project Management Discipline's such as Waterfall and Agile Project & Operational Methodologies


Required Education:



  • IS or Electrical Engineering related bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
