This opportunity offers participation in cutting edge technologies for a variety of applications including space exploration, satellites, defense, and aviation. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience with radiation device effects and implications on the resulting system design.

This engineer will support and lead test programs for a variety of specimens ranging from electronics (ASICs, MEMs, fiber optics, etc.) to inertial navigation sensors (accelerometer and gyroscope), and higher level integrated systems for specialized and unique applications within contested environments, such as radiation or GPS-denied environments. Relevant areas include analysis of radiation levels in operating environments to determine requirements on devices and subsystems, followed by effects analysis, design hardening, and qualification testing. Design hardening and testing will include ionizing dose rate, and total dose, single event effects (SEE), prompt dose, neutron displacement damage (NDD), etc.
