Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Responsibilities: include troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and maintaining machines, mechanical equipment, buildings, plumbing, and HVAC systems in accordance with local, state, and national codes. Able to work from prints or instructions from manager. Remove snow and ice from buildings, walkways, and steps. Notify management of need for repairs or fixture failures. Follow safety and security policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 18 years of age. Two years of previous maintenance experience preferred. Demonstrate complete understanding in trades such as manufacturing, machine maintenance, plumbing, building construction or repair, electrical work, and troubleshooting skills. Able to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level, and square. Forklift experience preferred. Ability to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills. May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug screening.

Physical requirements: include ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours at a time. Able to lift up to 25 lbs. Able to climb ladders and perform duties at heights over 6 feet. Production facility exposed to continual machine noise. Exposure to outdoor temperatures.
