The RFK Community Alliance is a 15-bed hardware secure facility co-located program in the Northeast Region that offers assessment and treatment services to adolescent males. RFK Community Alliance's juvenile justice programming includes a residential network for youth ages 13 to 21 who have been committed of a crime by the court and given a treatment time assignment. The program is designed to help youth identify behavioral concerns that have led to them making poor choices that have affected their family and community. Youth are expected to work with staff towards identifying skills to help change their way of thinking that led to these behaviors. While at the program youth learn accountability by participating in daily school, individual and group counseling, and structured activities designed to promote responsibility and self-reliance. The youth engage in recreational activities that enable them to have fun while learning healthy ways of interacting with others.
Position Summary:
The Clinician at our Middleton Juvenile Justice Program is responsible for ensuring that all clinical and case management services are consistent with the operating policies. Under the supervision of an independently licensed Clinical Director, the Clinician is responsible for ensuring that proper clinical and case management services, as well as community reintegration planning, are provided to the youth. This role will provide individual, family, and group treatment as well as have an outreach component. This person will act as a liaison between youth and community connections, as they begin their process of transitioning to a more independent status within their community.
S/he will reflect and display the character development core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual therapy to assigned caseload
- Facilitate therapeutic groups four times a week including DBT and Substance Abuse.
- Provide family therapy sessions as needed.
- Facilitate treatment meetings monthly for assigned youth.
- Maintain clinical files and appropriate documentation
- Develop an individual service plan for each youth which includes education, health, social, psychological and psychiatric services, and cognitive, behavioral, individual, group and family therapy, and medical/dental care (routine, ongoing, and emergency services).
- Ensure that a thorough intake of the youth into the program has occurred
- Maintain consistent communication with parent/guardian and collateral agencies.
- Ensure that an intake screening form (suicide/safety assessment) is completed on each resident.
- Ensure behavior management practice is followed on all shifts.
- Assist in educating program staff about therapeutic practices and interventions.
- Collaborate with Clinical Director and fellow Residential Clinicians.
- Licensure supervision is provided.

- Any other duties assigned by the Clinical Director
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Clinical Social Work or Psychology
- LICSW/LMHC eligible
- Knowledge of DBT preferred
- Residential experience with children and adolescents required
- Knowledge of DCF/DYS/DMH systems
- Valid driver's license
Hours:
40 hours, Monday - Friday

$2,500 Sign-On Incentive
This position is eligible for the RFK Community Alliance Sign-On Incentive in the amount of $2,500 in your first year of employment. You will receive $500 after 3 months; $500 after 6 months; $1,500 after 12 months.
