Configuration Manager (Hybrid) / Systems Analyst III

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Solid understanding of Configuration Management best practices and principles
  • Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and respond to multiple requests under tight deadlines and in a dynamic working environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with technical project leads, developers, logistics, vendors, and all other team members


DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:



  • Understanding of Defense Acquisition Framework
  • Understanding of CMMI methodology and implementation
  • Experience with Defense Contracting
  • Ability to improve processes and promote quality and apply feedback to improve performance
  • Globally recognized CM certification from an accredited CM program (Such as CISCM, CCMP, CICM)

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Establishes and monitors processes and procedures for continual improvement and to guard against breakdowns in the Configuration Management project lifecycle utilizing CMPro
  • Interfaces with and brief project management to maintain visibility of project configuration status
  • Maintains Configuration Management database (CMPro) and ensures proper Configuration Management methods are applied to all project documentation
  • Researches, writes, evaluates, and implements plans, charters, and process documents for Configuration Management
  • Trains team members in the role of Configuration Management
  • Manages and maintains the change control process and baselines
  • Leads and manages Local Configuration Review Boards (LCRB) and provides data/assist with the Configuration Control Boards (CCB) for projects
  • Produces reports indicating status of configuration items and communicates to team members
  • Conducts Configuration Management project audits
  • Analyzes processes and schedules and identifies areas of risk or conflict
  • Participates in periodic audits and reviews and communicates results to management
  • Manages software builds and changes to build lists and releases for project
  • Manages distribution of all software to the user as required
  • Tracks and manages the purchase and renewal of all Software and Licenses in use by project
  • Manages and maintains DADMS and map approved DADMS records to the applicable system(s) in the DITPR-DON database for software
  • This role will be mostly remote with occasional trips to the customer site in Charleston, SC
