About this Position:

In this role, you will be responsible for working with one or more of the staffing agencies that supply contingent labor to Honda Development & Manufacturing of America LLC. (HDMA) and American Honda Motor Co. Incumbent will work closely with the staffing agency, building relationships with both the leadership team and onsite team. In addition, responsibilities include building relationships with plant manpower controllers.

Responsibilities include:



  • Supplier Management includes contract interpretation, tracking & reporting on KPI's, reporting weekly plan vs. actual contingent delivery for responsible areas, periodic data analysis, and ad hoc reporting, and Contingent Labor Purchase Order management
  • Leads the ongoing effort to standardize & improve contingent workforce programs across all US operations and applies Project Management principles, theories, and concepts to implement new ideas
  • Supports initiatives of creating new avenues of attracting, and sourcing Contingent Production Associates
  • Document processes and practices to ensure compliance, fairness, and standardization
  • Partner with customers to understand forecasting activity, monitor forecast and delivery issues, and develop countermeasures
  • Identify and escalate issues to leadership as necessary



Who we are seeking:

Required Work Experience:



  • 2-6 years of experience in:

    • Supplier management knowledge and experience (negotiations and KPI evaluation)
    • Staffing experience - forecasting on high-level hiring volume
    • Knowledge of HR practices - legal and confidentiality
    • Understanding of the manufacturing environment




Required Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience

  • Ability to make well-educated decisions and recommendations for problem resolution
  • Ability to work closely and interact with all levels of leadership while building strong business relationships
  • Customer service focus
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with high volume hiring activity
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
  • General knowledge of HR policies and practices
  • Project management capabilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
