Job posting will remain open until a suitable candidate has been identified. Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice Chancellor - Resource Management, the incumbent applies campus policies and procedures to resolve a variety of facility management, renovation, and space planning issues. Works on facilities management problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Responsible for assisting in the development of long-range space planning, and the monitoring of facility development and construction processes to determine facility requirements for new Student Affairs initiatives. Serve as property manager and primary facility support for Student Affairs regarding facility repairs, liaising with tenants and contractors, renovations, and space assignments & utilization in designated VCSA buildings. Develop and maintain efficient systems to monitor building and space utilization, requests for new and/or additional space and priorities for space assignment. Develop tools to report and integrate data associated with space, safety and facilities; analyze information. Conduct needs assessment and make recommendations to AVC-RM and VCSA for space needs projections and assignments. Review space utilization plans to ensure compliance with safety guidelines. Work with VCSA units, UCSD campus departments, and external/third-party contractors to coordinate construction and renovation projects from inception through final occupancy. Coordinate tenant relocation and removals. Serve as point of contact for moves, capital improvement projects, equipment inventory, and other space and building usage issues. The incumbent will evaluate and analyze data related to capacity projections, program requirements and facilities to develop options for long-range capital development. Prepare reports for review and approval. Analyze space plans and projects for feasibility. Develop and maintain databases to optimize planning. Represent Student Affairs and participate in deliberations of building advisory, planning and construction oversight committees. QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $43,900 - $91,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $21.02 - $44.01 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
