VMware Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Active CompTIA Security + Certification
• VMware Certified Technical Associate or higher certification
• Six or more years of direct, hands-on experience providing IT-related technical support for DoD Command and Control (C2) and Command, Control, Communications, Computers Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) programs, projects or initiatives that included the following:
• Administrator level experience with at least 3 of the following four operating systems:
  
  
  
  • ESXi
  • RHEL
  • Windows 10 Professional/Enterprise
  • Windows Server 2016 in at least two of the following four roles/functions:
  • Domain Controller
  • DNS
  • Exchange
  • DHCP
  
  
  
  

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Past, direct experience with USAF Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems and subsystems
• Past direct experience USAF ATC Radar systems such as the Mode 5 Operational Autonomous Surveillance System (Mode 5 OAS), Airport Surveillance Radar -- 8 (ASR-8), and AN/TPS-75 Long Range Radar
• Configuration and/or troubleshooting experience with at least four of the following:
  
  
  
  • Cisco switches and routers
  • Tactical Data Links
  • Satellite communications
  • Tactical Radios
  • Encryption devices
  • Ground to Air Transmitter/Receiver
  • IP-enabled telephones
  • Joint Radio Relay
  • 721S family of Fixed Site VHF-UHF Radio Transceivers
  • RT-9000D HF Transceiver
  
  
  
  
• Microsoft operating system certification (client or server)
• Network + certification
