US controller (Accounting and External Reporting Department)

And this is our US controller rolefor those who possess a strong sense for detail, analytical skills and are ready to combat discrepancies in financial records.

• Assign projects to the other staff members to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

• Direct the day-to-day actions of the entire accounting department.

• Enforce the correct accounting policies, methods, and principles.

• Complete annual audits to ensure accuracy.

• Meet financial objectives through collaboration and delegation.

• Produce financial statements by monitoring and evaluating accounting data.

• Streamline systems and processes and initiate corrective actions when necessary.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 8+ years of related experience and/or training required.

• Strong technical accounting background (e.g., 6+ years in public accounting) with a mix of operational experience.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in management/leadership roles required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software is required.

• Big 4 Accounting Firm experience preferred.

• Oracle software experience preferred.

• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

• Self-starter, with the ability to work independently and as a team member.

Reporting directly to the Corporate Controller, the US Accounting Director along with his/her staff (team of 9, 3 direct reports) will beresponsible for all aspects monthly close process including the team responsible for accounts payable for the global organization, with primaryemphasis on US GAAP accounting standards. This individual is expected to monitor, supervise and evaluate all daily accounting processes. In addition,it is expected that this person will work with other members of the accounting team and ensure we have a timely and accurate financial close process.
