This position will report to the Lancaster and Lebanon Campuses. This position will be open until filled. Job Summary: The Welcome Center provides a progressive and simplified student experience to support successful enrollment, retention, and completion. By assisting with information, essential services, and the removal of barriers, these employees serve to encourage students and smooth the path for continued progress at HACC. This position delivers exceptional student centered, culturally responsive, start-to-finish one-stop experience in the college-wide Welcome Centers.
This position directly supports student efforts to successfully transition to the College and reach their academic goals, providing guidance to applicants and students who need additional support to navigate complex enrollment situations. This position will be an integral part of the Welcome Center and will be cross-trained in multiple functions of several Student Affairs and Enrollment Management Offices. Minimum Qualifications: H.S. Diploma or equivalent and 4 years experience or, a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. - Ensures a high quality front-line experience for Workforce Development students that is representative of a quality HACC education by providing a welcoming, supportive and encouraging atmosphere; demonstrates sound knowledge, advocacy, and professional judgment while addressing drop-in, phone and virtual inquiries related to admissions, advising, billing/cashiering, financial aid, student IDs and parking passes, records ,and registration. - (Essential)
- Ensures excellence in timely communications, resolves problems and issues by researching concerns and determines course of action; makes independent determinations, decisions and recommendations; refers issues to appropriate college resource when necessary. - (Essential)
- Utilizes software applications including customer relationship management system (CRM), student information system, and learning management system; provides assistance at the self-service kiosks. - (Essential)
- Provides support to students in need of third-party book vouchers, repayment agreements for outstanding tuition/fee balances, and transfer of financial aid forms; serves as a resource for College refund questions. - (Essential)
- Assists with the Reversal of Tuition Charges (RTC) and Retroactive Withdrawal process including: screening and providing RTC information to eligible students; reviewing and researching petitions; decision making and implementing decisions of Level 1 appeals; recommending and implementing Level 2 decisions; referring petitions to appropriate departments when necessary. - (Essential)
- Performs general office duties at the discretion of supervisor, which may include coordinating and maintaining office supplies, copiers, and printers; making room reservations; submitting facilities work requests; processing incoming and outgoing mail; generating reports; reporting to regulatory agencies; scanning/indexing of documents and completing various forms; handles sensitive information in accordance with applicable guidelines and regulations. - (Essential)
