Investment Operations Director

As one of our Directors in Investment Operations, you will guide 4 senior managers and their respective teams, providing strategic oversight to a group of 100+ financial services professionals, spanning 4 office locations in Southern California; Norfolk, Virginia; London and Singapore as well as a 100+ team in Pune, India. Your scope will include specialized functions for trade operations, accounting system support and maintenance, project management initiatives, reconciliations, and cash reporting. You will oversee the delivery of operating strategies and expense targets, as well as enabling increased efficiency in the department, with a focus on speed, scalability, and flexibility. You will also play a critical role as part of the Core Operations senior leadership team, working together to provide overall leadership to the broader Core Operations organization of over 400 associates. This role is based in the Norfolk, Virginia office where you will provide broad leadership to other Investment Operations teams and site leadership.

  • You will collaborate with the Investment Operations Operating Committee in defining vision and strategic direction, ensuring that department strategies align with mission, vision, and core values. You will understand the external market landscape, key industry drivers, and bring ideas and recommendations that enable us to further enhance our operating model. You will ensure that operational capabilities are well positioned to deliver current and future solutions. You will influence the development of technology and analytic solutions that enable flexibility, agility, and scalability.
  • You will foster a culture of inclusion and trust where associates feel valued and encouraged and to bring their whole self to work, an environment where accomplishments are recognized and risk-taking and innovation is embraced. You will play a critical role in identifying, inspiring, and supporting associate development, in line with their unique strengths and aspirations. Your scope will include performance management, recruitment, compensation, succession planning and promotions, development, and associate relations. By providing global and strategic context for associates, you will bolster shared understanding and alignment on objectives. Your success will be defined by demonstrating courage when championing innovative ideas, being a change agent, and influencing open-mindedness.
  • Working collaboratively with other IO (Investment Operations) directors and functional leaders, you will mitigate risk for Capital Group in a cost-effective manner, ensuring that operating results achieve the right balance of quality, cost and service ensure that operations allow stakeholders to deliver on their commitments to investors and the CG (Capital Group) community. You will ensure broad consideration of CG-wide issues and impacts relating to operating effectiveness, risk, service to investors and stakeholders.

Hampton Roads Base Salary Range: $207,985-$353,575

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
