Job Summary

Coordinates all educational components of Child/Adolescent inpatient and outpatient services; responsible for supervision on instructional activities and school personnel; acts as liaison between schools and hospital.

Accountabilities

  • Develops and maintains relationships with community agencies/groups, schools professional affiliations as appropriate.\u00A0 Meets with members of the community as required for marketing purposes and to promote good community relations. - 30%

  • Attends meetings as required, and participates on committees as directed.\u00A0 Represents the department at conferences, meetings, and on working committees as required. - 5%

  • Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, in-service meetings, current literature and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.\u00A0 Maintains and upgrades educational and clinical skills. - 5%

  • Recommends, develops and implements new services and programs as appropriate to meet identified patient/client needs.\u00A0 Ensures delivery of quality services for inpatient/outpatients.\u00A0 - 30%

  • Plans, develops, and implements educational programs and seminars for staff, provider personnel and clients. - 10%

  • Plans, implements, and evaluates program effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of service.\u00A0 Provides ongoing assessment of program needs. - 5%

  • Assists in selecting school staff and evaluating their performance.\u00A0 Provides training/orientation to department and makes recommendations for personnel actions. - 10%

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. - 5%

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of employees that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority.\u00A0 Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health and will have direct reports.\u00A0

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree from an Academy of Dietetics (AND) accredited institution and/or approved internship program.

Required Certifications, Registries, Licenses

Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Registration

South Carolina Dietetics License (must have SC license within 30 days of hire)

Other Required Skills and Experience

Basic Computer Skills

Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)

Additional In Lieu of Statement

Team members employed in this job prior to July 1, 2020 are grandfathered under prior educational and experience requirements.\u00A0 In addition, team members must be certification eligible and will have one year to obtain required certification(s).\u00A0
