Adjunct Instructor Interior Design

Position Summary:
The NJIT School of Art & Design is recruiting a pool of applicants interested in teaching classes in the Interior Design program on an ongoing basis. Qualified applicants not able to take on a class in a particular semester would continue to be considered in future semesters. Adjunct instructors will be given the learning objectives and requirements for each class assigned.

Essential Functions:
Teaching: Integrate core concepts from past courses into the one being taught. Communicate with students, faculty and administration on student progress throughout the semester.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
Must possess a design-related Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a bachelor's degree with appropriate industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Prior teaching experience is particularly welcome. Advanced Degree preferred. Depending on the course, the instructor would need to have relevant experience in creative, analytical, or synthetic design areas. Hands-on knowledge of course topics is desired (e.g., knowledge of 2D and 3D design software, BIM, motion graphics, screen based communication and UI/UX, knowledge of arduino programming and physical computing, web design and use of digital software to produce and evaluate design work, etc.)
