Fire Safety Team

Essential duties and responsibilities during events include -

  • Includes but not limited to Pit Road, Garages, Fuel Island or On-Track Firefighting.
  • Responds to and renders assistance in emergency cases.
  • Cleans and inspects equipment and apparatus after returning from a fire.
  • Inspects equipment and apparatus and notifies Supervisor of any defects.
  • Keeps fire truck or designated area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Participates in training activities and instruction sessions.
  • Acquires and retains a thorough knowledge of the racetrack, including station numbers, emergency district locations, buildings, water supply, unusual hazards and related items.
  • Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with MIS and NASCAR policies and procedures.

Qualifications/Requirements -

  • NFPA FF1 or State Country Equivalent
  • Common sense, good judgment, and the ability to think logically.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to work overtime including some evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather elements.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.

  • Haz-Mat
  • High Angle Rescue
  • Apparatus Engineer
  • NASCAR Online Training
