Application Window Open date: March 2, 2023 Most recent review date: Friday, Mar 17, 2023 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Monday, Sep 2, 2024 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description Kriegstein Lab - Junior/Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist SCHOOL OF MEDICINE - Center for Regeneration Medicine & Stem Cell Research Description The Kriegstein lab is seeking a Junior/Assistant/Associate/Full Specialist to join our group and contribute to new and ongoing projects. Our lab focuses on studies of human bain development using postmortem tissue samples and in vitro organoid models. We are also doing single cell RNAsequencing and ATACsequencing of developing human and non-human primate brain and spatial transcriptomics. The candidate will be expected to contribute to these projects, help with experimental design, tissue culture, and data analysis. An exceptional candidate will lead their own independent project, develop new ideas, be familiar with the literature, and participate in procurement of funds, where appropriate. Additionally, the specialist will be expected to assist with managing day-to-day lab operations, and perform general lab duties and be a positive lab citizen. Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: We are seeking at least a 1-year commitment. Depending on performance and workload, opportunities for independent research, mentorship of other trainees, and scientific writing will be available.
