Position Summary

Avantax is seeking a Marketing Specialist I, Elite Advisor Brands that will be responsible for assisting in the implementation and execution of marketing plans to support Avantax advisor marketing effectiveness and increase the company's assets under management (AUM).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

• Support SigniFI marketing directors in the implementation of advisory firms' strategic marketing plans.

• Maintain project management tools to track the status of marketing projects for each assigned brand.

• Take meeting notes during client calls, assign tasks, and coordinate follow-up implementation.

• Assist with the creation of custom content for advisor newsletters, websites, and social media platforms.

• Write, proofread, and edit communication materials for advisors' brands.

• Serve as the primary 'owner' of brands' FMG Suite accounts to manage website updates, email contact lists, and social media scheduling.

• Create graphics in Canva Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, Beautiful AI, or other programs as needed for brands' collateral materials, presentations, and social media posts.

• Gather metrics in Google Analytics and Sprout Social for quarterly reporting on brand performance.

• Conduct industry research and maintain master lists of public relations opportunities, awards, and recognitions.

• Manage the review and revisions of advisors' communication materials by compliance through the AdTrax system.

• Coordinate paperwork for sponsorships of advisors' events by product wholesalers/fund companies.

• Facilitate event planning logistics for advisors' local events as directed.

• Communicate with printers and other vendors

• Continuously grow in the knowledge of digital marketing tactics such as social media, search engine optimization, and inbound marketing, as well as the tax and financial services industries

• Other job duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent related business experience.A course of study in marketing and/or advertising is preferred.

• Prior experience in a marketing or advertising role in the banking and finance sector is preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently.

• Strong proficiency in a variety of computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

• Keying/typing, standing, walking.

• Sitting for an extended period.

• Constant mental and/or visual attention; the work is either repetitive or diversified requiring constant alertness in an office environment.

• The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during the normal performance of the job.
