The University of Minnesota, Department of Pediatrics, seeks a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor (Academic Track) faculty position in the Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Health (DOGPAH). A successful applicant will be expected to have (Associate rank) or develop (Assistant rank) an independent research program that leads to publication and/or presentation in peer-reviewed scholarly outlets and to seek extramural funding for that research. Engagement in teaching/mentoring and service to the University and professional community are also expected. Clinical service opportunities are available for interested clinicians. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications About the Department
The mission of DOGPAH states: "We are committed to achieving health, justice, and positive development for all children, youth, and families through community-centered health care, research, education, and advocacy." Current DOGPAH faculty conduct clinical, epidemiologic, community-partnered, and translational research in a variety of disciplines relating to the health and well-being of children, adolescents, and young adults. Faculty members are highly collaborative both within and outside the University of Minnesota and seek to attract researchers interested in working with other researchers, clinicians, educators, and community partners for research and dissemination. Division faculty support their research by seeking internal and external funding, including grants and contracts from federal and state agencies, professional organizations, and private foundations and donors. Translational research that can help inform policy and practice, especially with a focus on health inequities, is particularly encouraged. DOGPAH offers multiple interdisciplinary fellowships that provide training in child and adolescent health. Benefits
