Responsibilities

What You'll Do (Position hours 1pm-11pm Thursday - Sunday OR 3pm-11pm Wednesday - Sunday)

The First Class engineer will operate and maintain all necessary functions for the engineering department in the hospital, which includes all steam generating boilers, pressure vessels, super heaters, refrigeration plants and air conditioning units of unlimited tonnage, horsepower and pressures, and all pumps and apparatus in conjunction therewith.

  • Inspects and repairs various areas of the facility and the equipment to maintain established standard of operations.
  • Responsible for hospital wide maintenance, including but not limited to plant operations and various periodic inspections.
  • Production of daily quality work accompanied by a detailed log of daily operations.
  • Maintain a technical skill level in the Boiler, Control and Electrical systems.
  • Perform preventive and routine maintenance to boilers, chillers, pumps, and other equipment on a routine bases.
  • Practice safe and efficient work habits; efficient in use of time and materials.
  • Evaluation of gauge, thermometer and indicator calibrations.
  • Perform routine maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, electrical troubleshooting, lighting as well as fire alarm systems and fire extinguisher checks.
  • Complete various projects as assigned by department leadership.
  • Perform regularly scheduled security rounds as required.
  • Monitor fire alarm system for protection of building.
  • Performs fire drill on time and complete all forms.
  • Makes work order repairs in complete and timely fashion.
  • Monitor medical gas levels and notifies for orders.

Performs Exterior inspections of door security.


Qualifications

What You'll Bring

* At least 2 years of hospital engineering experience preferred.

* High school diploma or GED

* 1st Class Stationary Engineer - Unlimited from the City of Tulsa
