JOB COACHES - Several temporary summer worker Job Coach positions available.

DATES & SUMMER HOURS: June 20 - July 20
June 20 - June 23, Tuesday thru Friday, 3.5 hours per day;
June 26 - June 29, Monday thru Thursday, 3.5 hours per day;
July 3 - July 7, no school
July 10 - July 20, Monday thru Thursday, 3.5 hours per day;
3.5 hours per day, 4 days per week, plus additional date(s) to be determined for set-up and training during the week of June 12.
Assignments will be made based on student needs.

SITES: Multiple Work Sites within the Anoka-Hennepin School District and/or Multiple non-District sites

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist high school special needs students (at their school or in the community) in a variety of work sites. Students will have a variety of ability levels. Exploration of work sites. Skills training at work sites in a variety of areas such as landscape, housekeeping, food service, custodial, office and warehouse. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to work with disabled students under the direction of work experience handicapped coordinators. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability / desire to work cooperatively with department and district staff. Must have reliable transportation. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building/onsite.

RATE OF PAY: New Hires $16.50/hour; Current Job Coaches accepting employment in their same category shall be paid at their school year ending hourly rate on the salary schedule through their summer employment, including seniority and academic credits. Assignments will be made based on students needs. There is no sick leave or vacation for summer staff.
