Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and
detail-oriented Research Associate to join our team and work on projects
related to graphene, carbon nanotubes, and other nanoparticle/nano technology
related projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing
material characterization using electron microscopy, spectroscopy, and other
techniques. The candidate also needs to do some chromatography and related
analysis as needed. The research associate will also be responsible for
conducting experiments and analyzing data.

Essential Functions:
- Conduct experiments related to the
applications of graphene, carbon nanotubes and other nano and microparticles
particles.
- Perform material characterization
using techniques such as electron microscopy, spectroscopy, and other related
methods.
- Analyze data related to material
properties, chemical composition, and physical characteristics.
- Collaborate with other team
members to design and develop new experimental protocols and research methods.
- Contribute to the development of
new products and technologies.
- Write technical reports, research
papers, and other scientific publications based on the research findings.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and
supplies in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory
safety protocols and best practices.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
- Master's degree in
Chemistry, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of
experience in materials characterization, electron microscopy, spectroscopy,
or related fields.
- Strong analytical
skills and attention to detail.
- Good verbal and
written communication skills.
- Ability to work
independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask
and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving
skills and ability to think creatively.
- Familiarity with
laboratory safety protocols and best practices.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience
prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the
satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and
experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
