Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate Transplant Coordinator - Abdominal.

In this role, the successful candidate Supports the Transplant Institute through provision of administrative tasks such as answering patient phone calls, scheduling testing, and correspondence for patients and referring providers, and other administrative duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
    • Performs any and all other administrative duties assigned.
    • Receives initial referrals, obtains authorizations and schedules patient accordingly.
    • Runs reports of patients and referring providers and acts as point of contact for updates from referring offices regarding patients.
    • Provides referring physicians with status reports about patients' progress in the transplant system via letters, phone calls, emails, or other forms of communication.
    • Provides patient education about the transplant and living donation process and what to expect from the transplant center to patients, referring providers, living donors and families.
    • Independently answers clinical questions from patients, donors and referring providers.
    • Reviews patient testing results and tracks progress in EPIC checklist, synthesizes results and reports to transplant RN/NP, follows up with patients regarding missing testing.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree required

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required with 0-1 years of work experience

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,500.00 - $58,500.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
